How calculations work
Each unit has a scale factor and an optional offset relative to its category’s base unit. Calculations run in your browser. No account or database is required. Decimal storage units use powers of 1000; binary MiB and GiB use powers of 1024. Volume measurements are explicitly US customary.

How accurate are the conversion results?
Calculations use standard conversion factors and JavaScript double-precision arithmetic. Results use a readable rounded display. Enable More precision for up to 10 significant digits; rounding only happens for display.
Can I use this converter for commercial purposes?
Yes. The converter is free for personal and commercial use. Verify results independently for safety-critical or regulated work.
Do you support metric and imperial units?
Yes. Length, weight, area, volume and speed include metric and imperial units. Volume units labeled US use US customary definitions.
